This multifunctional, innovative and team-shared work environment is designed to accommodate all the needs of Merck’s collaborators by offering a large variety of areas allowing to perform specific activities at different times with different people.
By broadening and optimizing the use of space, this work environment offers many options to support both organization and collaborator’s goals in very practical ways, now and for the future.

Dynamic work environment

The Ferring floor consists in its center of an atrium giving access to the two wings of the building. Thus, the collaborators arrive in a « vestibule » zone where each one has a locker for his personal belongings. The cafeteria, in the center of the surface, takes its key role in the daily lives of employees.

Flexibility and mobility

 

This work environment offers improved ways of working and gives more flexibility in the ways of accomplishing various work tasks. Each activity is supported by a dedicated work space: bookable and non-bookable meeting rooms, concentration spots, social spaces and various kinds of workstations. Thanks to the workplace studies that are conducted at the initial phase of the project, activity-based workplaces are designed in accordance with the business and HR objectives set up by the company. New work environments stimulate the desire to move forward by adopting new ways of working.
